A global leader in separation technologies, Eriez designs and manufactures magnetic separation, flotation, metal detection, and material handling equipment through 12 wholly owned subsidiaries across six continents.

Since 2016, Northwoods has guided Eriez through multiple rounds of website updates and improvements. Most recently, we helped the Eriez team adapt to the needs of their new sales initiative by consolidating 13 websites with disparate content into a unified online presence. 

To achieve this, we developed a comprehensive project plan that included a UX strategy, UX design, prototyping, and development. Our strategy experts streamlined site navigation, enabling users to quickly find the information they need – whether by product category or industry. Additionally, we integrated with Eriez’s custom locator app, which allows users to easily connect with a salesperson in their region.

From the initial design prototypes through development, Northwoods prioritized accessibility by adhering to WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines. This included implementing best practices such as sufficient color contrast, clear heading structures, and keyboard-friendly navigation, and a fully accessible user pathway for product filtering. Our team then conducted thorough testing of both code and content to ensure accessibility compliance at launch.

The new website was built on Titan CMS, an enterprise content management system powered by Northwoods. It features a modern design, enhanced user experience, improved accessibility, and accommodations for an ongoing brand refresh. A versatile suite of back end tools provides flexibility for future content updates and product rollouts, helping Eriez to continue to shine as a global industry leader.
