The Medical College of Wisconsin's Office of Clinical Informatics' mission is to improve patient care and enhance clinical research by providing user support and optimization services for all clinical information system applications utilized by the health care providers, clinical researchers and ancillary support staff of the Medical College of Wisconsin & Froedtert Health.
The Medical College of Wisconsin's Office of Clinical Informatics needed an improved website interface for their online physician directory. The new Doctor Finder needed to match commonly used terms by non-medical professionals and existing medical terminology available in the current physician database. Northwoods developed a medical keyword matching system that delivered accurate search results based on what common users entered. The system allows for MCW staff to update and modify matching so that the system becomes more accurate over time.
